Position : Head – Civil
Function: Maintenance - Civil
Reporting To: Head - Mechanical, Civil and Utility
Reportees : Area civil engineers Scope of the Job: Responsible for the planning, execution and supervision of Civil Repair and Maintenance (R&M) jobs, plant infrastructure civil jobs , Capital expenditure (CAPEX), Major Replacement (MR) jobs Tuticorin plant Roles & Responsibilities: Major role & Responsibilities: I) Inspection, Review and Execution
a) Daily meeting to discuss the day\'s planning, the previous day\'s work and issues
b) Reviewing the progress of work, quality of work and safety conditions at the site of work
c) Supervising the execution of work
d) Ensuring the work is carried out according to the plans made and within the budget
e) Reviewing the estimates for the job
f) Ensuring the collection of customer feedback and ensuring that the issues raised are closed II) Planning
a) Prepare the business plan for civil jobs for the current year
b) Plan for repair and maintenance works within the budget allocated 3. Discussion and Negotiation
a) Discussing with the consultants for the civil jobs to be carried out in the plant
b) Negotiating with the Technical team, Commercial team to finalize the contract Secondary role: KPO: Achieving key performance objectives expected from the role holder Innovation:
• Initiate TQM projects to innovatively reduce costs for civil works
• Benchmarking with the best companies in India and the world General Maintenance
• Following 5S and TPM
• Performing housekeeping and Safety functions regularly
• Carrying out CSR activities Internal Interface: Process, Commercial, Finance, Maintenance External Interface: : Contractors, Vendors, Consultants, Local bodies and politicians Knowledge: SAP, SOP, Concepts of civil engineering, Preparing estimates, Planning and executing civil jobs on a large scale
