Job Role:Account Director   Job Purpose The Account Director forms the Core Team at the organization and thus has a role that extends beyond servicing accounts playing an active role in the growth of the company and raising the bar of PR industry. 1.ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT a.To the Client Servicing Team •Is the Chief Mentor for the Team/s •Is the strategy source and guide to the team/s-drive weekly/monthly and quarterly meetings with teams •Is the industry and media source to the team/s •Is the Chief Quality Controller for the team ensuring quality standards are maintained with quality checks – conduct ‘quality week’ initiative •Is Innovative and proactive when it comes to incentive based clients; ensuring Client does not compromise on incentives •Ensures that best practices are followed – Compass, Account Management Manual, Impact Metrix, Six hat thinking •Builds high level of credibility with clients b.To the Clients Ensure CA model adoption by clients Ensure PR its rightful place in the boardroom •Be the strategy source and guide to the team/s •Be the industry and senior media source to the team/s •Be accessible yet distant in order to play the strategic role. 2. LEADING THE GROWTH OF THE COMPANY   a. Internal business planning 1. Preparation of business plans and ensuring that these are managed and implemented 2. Providing quarterly status on biz plans goals b. Recruitment Planning, Recruitment and Retention 1.Hiring the right candidate - "ensure timely hire of the right profile for the new position....four weeks time for a position to be filled (sourcing, interviewing and the person to join) 2.Inducting and training the consultant - "induct and train the new hire so that they are productive within 2 weeks of their joining 3.Ensure that the new hires are retained in the team for minimum period of 1 year 4.Maintaining positive employee relations in the organization ie facilitate cross project team efforts, participate in integrating the 3 offices c.Training and Induction Identify training needs and facilitate them, ensuring continuity through internal programmes. d. For Business Development and Retention 1.Participate in getting business into the company – provides leads and sees through the pitch and signing of contract 2.Cross sells various products – BUREAU, NEWSREAL, STRATEGY SUMMIT e. International association 1.Strengthen the alliance 2.International case studies - Ensure annual participation for clients at global awards – PR Week, IPRA, etc 3. PR industry platform 1.Academia – Each AD to represent academic institutes carving mindshare for the company & propagating PR 2.Industry body – Take up active role in PRCAI Job Role : Account Manager Job Purpose The Account Manager is responsible for strategic planning and the overall execution of PR campaigns, ensuring the team’s adherence to companys systems and processes and providing guidance to Sr. AEs and AEs. This will enable him / her to drive accounts independently and be recognized as a true consultant. Key Result Areas Internal Process Ensure all systems and processes are followed Ensure quality in the media monitoring cycle and reporting cycle Interview Process Reviewing pitch mails Interacting with senior media (sub editor and editor level) Development of messages Briefing Documents Event Coordination Overall responsibility for event planning and execution Media Knowledge & Relations Knowledge of media across tier 1 cities and regional media relevant to client Media Yatra – At least 2 Media Yatras a year Ability to create content for effective Bylines, Pitches etc. Enjoys two way communication channel at senior reporter/editor level Provide media recommendations to client Individual Knowledge & Attitude Knowledge and practice of Best Practices Good business communication skills Well versed in knowledge of Client and Industry Participates in research and strategy for business development pitches Eye for Detail and ensure work is of highest quality Ethical, Enthusiastic and Hard working attitude Account Executive Management Ensuring Account Executives/ Sr. Account Executives work meets basic requirements Assisting Account Executives/ Sr. Account Executives in developing skills Ensuring Account Executives/ Sr. Account Executives acclimatizes to the organization, its culture and its expectations. Ensure that Account Executives/ Sr. Account Executives delivers work on time, good quality and is motivated. Ensures that Account Executives/ Sr. Account Executives follow the Best Practices, systems and processes of the company. Planning Identify and develop objectives and strategies for PR plan for clients Develop PR plan for clients quarterly / six monthly and yearly plan Review media plan for clients Review event plan for clients Quarterly client review Account Management Responsible for planning and overall implementation of PR plans Responsible for providing strategic counsel and advice to the client Responsible for ensuring that all deadlines are met and the work delivered is of the highest quality Main point of contact for client
