 Job Description
Assists in the establishment and maintenance of policies and procedures for inventory control. Coordinates and performs activities related to physical inventory counting and observation. Includes working with personnel in various departments to perform inventory observation, reconciling physical inventories to records, and attaching identification tags or other identifying numbers to assets. Researches invoices and coordinates with the projects and purchase departments to determine value of property to be considered a fixed asset. Develops and maintains record keeping to capture donated items and disposed or transferred items for each department for accurate reporting. Reviews data collected and enters in ERP system maintained . Determines depreciation methods and useful lives of the fixed assets, maintains depreciation schedules with updates as needed. Generates and distributes various reports needed to reconcile inventory . Generates reports needed for the annual audit . Prepares schedules and generates in-house billings for the Risk Management self-insured insurance bills to departments. Maintains documents relating to the disposal of records and coordinates record retention polices with the departments. Supervises the work of accounting and clerical employees engaged in accounting functions. Assists in annual budget preparation. Researches and resolves accounting problems as needed. Reviews and analyzes statistical and financial information. Assists in preparation and maintenance of capital budget. Assists in record keeping, and research for capital bond and note issues. Operates an automobile for the purpose of attending meetings, visiting departments located off-site and any other travel assigned.
