Operational expansion, internal/external client liaison, troubleshooting, management efficiencies, recruitment and training, operational synchronicity with Technicolor Subtitling worldwide and with all other Technicolor divisions. Responsibility for maintenance of operational costs in line with operating margins. Job Description This role encompasses overall operational responsibility for Bangalore Subtitling. Operational expansion, internal/external client liaison, troubleshooting, management efficiencies, recruitment and training, operational synchronicity with Technicolor Subtitling worldwide and with all other Technicolor divisions. Responsibility for maintenance of operational costs in line with operating margins. Key deliverables are as follows: establish workflows, maintain synergies and encourage team-building between different Subtitling departments to ensure a lean and efficient production line; establish a handover procedure between Burbank and Bangalore offices to maximize the benefits of time zone difference; establish and oversee protocols, style preferences, final deliverable and account management workflows for new and current clients; manage the development of the business unit growth, including headcount and subcontractor fees; performance monitoring of all employees; overall responsibility for the Client Services, Production, Operations, Asset and Delivery and Subtitling QC teams in Bangalore. Other duties may be assigned as required in the course of the business unit’s growing needs and requirements. A minimum of 3 years managing a multilingual subtitling facility; a sound knowledge of authoring systems and processes is preferred. Excellent communication, delegation, team-building and conflict-resolution skills are essential, as are exceptional leadership qualities. The ability to restructure workloads and reprioritize the workloads of all Subtitling teams efficiently at short notice are greatly valued and will be necessary on a daily basis, as will an ability to make sound executive decisions affecting product quality and client perception.
