Job Description |
|
• Drive the profit growth through superior account management and contract leverage
• Accountable for the development of the account strategies for major customers in the region, in the context of both the GBU Tonnage strategy and the RBU strategy
• Communicate strategic objectives of the customer plans to internal stakeholders and ensure tactical alignment
• Maximise business performance of the tonnage business within the portfolio, by leading the development and implementation of comprehensive customer plans, working with operations, distribution, and other relevant functions to minimise cost of production and delivery
• Ensure contract renewals (and new contracts) are negotiated on a timely basis, bringing in functional expertise from Tonnage Business Development as appropriate; for example when significant new capital, such as a new plant, is needed.
• Proactively participates with GBU Tonnage Business Development on business development at incumbent sites. Contributes to the business development process by ensuring that the value of local customer relationships and local strategic issues are incorporated into the development of investment opportunities.
• Facilitates the Business Development “Teaming process” during development of opportunities at existing Major Customers
• Lead or play a major role in the Commercialisation Process at new and existing Major Customers
• Develop and manage the local customer relationship with major tonnage customer accounts in the region
• Develop a broad range of contacts within each customer
• Facilitate “senior level” relationship building between the customer and Linde executives at ‘priority’ customers
• Provide interface with RBU for delivery of non-tonnage products and services to major tonnage accounts (e.g., packaged gases) in order to maximise ‘wallet share’ of customer for Linde Group
• Provide leadership for safety activities at major customer sites, and within the RBU tonnage organisation
• Work seamlessly with marketing teams for individual customer market segments to:
• Develop strong relationships with the Tonnage Marketing and Market Development
• Communicate potential markets/opportunities for tonnage business in the region including cluster development
• Challenge and provide feedback to marketing strategy development from the customer perspective
